I don’t know where he obtained it from, but the quality is great! The leaves are uniform in size, no excessive particulates and the color and gloss accentuate a beautiful leaf. You can see all twists and folds and it has an almost chocolaty smell.
The hot leaves smell toasted, but not overly so. Even after steeping, they are tight, crisp and strong; ready for a second infusion. For some reason, the smell of the wet leaves reminded me of Kim (seaweed)! I was really happy to find that trigger, since it is one that traces back to memories I love.
The liquor had almost no aroma, but tasted sweet and light. It has a thin body and is silky smooth. It is very easy to drink and the flavor lingers to an aftertaste that lasts for a while, but in a good way. It isn’t overwhelming or annoying, but one that makes you want to drink more!!
Overall, I thought this was a great tea! I can see why people like it and will definitely be drinking more!
