The dry leaves had an earthy, woody smell. The leaves look like great quality and the pieces are nice and stiff.
The wet leaves have an almost smoky, woody smell. They were rinsed and after the steep, remained strong. I wouldn’t doubt another three steeps from this set!
The liquor is a chocolate amber color. It doesn’t have a real smell, but a slightly woody scent. The liquor is a sawdust, earthy taste and medium to thick body. The flavor is rich and not astringent. It lingers just enough to leave you wanting more.
Overall, I loved this tea! I would buy, recommend and drink this again! And often!
