Someone once asked me why anyone should listen to what I have to say about tea. And I have been asked quite a few times why I blog. This blog is about my journey through tea. It is also about my life. I think it offers a few things.
First, you get to see the teas I have been drinking and what I think about them. If they are teas you were considering drinking, perhaps the review will help you make a better decision. If not, you will get some insight into what my thoughts were as I was learning about it. I am not a tea expert. I know more than the average person (most of the people I run into drink teabags and didn’t know you could buy loose leaf.). I always try to learn more and give better reviews. I love tea discussions and love making tea friends!
Second, I want to share my experiences with people. I am a Major Depressive with an Anxiety Disorder and IBS. These facets of my life are common with others. I find it sad that they feel alone in the world. And I know there are people that do, because sometimes I do. It helps me feel a little better to know that there are others like me. That it will get better, one way or another. That I’m not suffering alone. I love to share the great things in my life and have been posting less about trials I have encountered. But, I am hoping to be a bit more open in the future. I am hoping it might help someone. Because we can all use a little help!
Lastly, it is an insight into a journey. Maybe I’m not scaling Mt. Fuji. Maybe I’m not hiking through Australia. But, this is my journey. And some mornings, waking up is my Mt.Fuji. And surviving an anxiety attack can feel like losing your trail, hiking in an Australian desert. Sometimes, it’s a great day and my largest problem is which tea to enjoy.
