I love coconut. Pretty much anything, as long as it isn’t crazy sweet. And I love bubble teas. Even though there is a little starch in the pearls, I can usually get away with it as long as I don’t eat too many.
We were in H Mart and my mom asked me if I wanted a bubble tea, so I decided to get a coconut one. And it was great! They have little shavings of coconut in them and the milk is nice and sweet, without being too sweet. My only problem was that there wasn’t enough. And I got the largest size!
I think this will only cause a problem with IBS sufferers if they have a sensitivity to starch. I have one, but am usually able to get away with a little before I have to worry. I can probably have a small bite of bread or a spoon of rice before I have to end it. If you are the same way, you might be able to enjoy a few pearls before you have to call it quits. If you aren’t comfortable with it, you can get this drink without the pearls and I’m sure it’s just as good!
